Purposeful side hustle meet-up

Event description

Everyone wants their life to have meaning. To feel valued and to feel like there's a purpose to what they do. While many people get purpose and meaning from jobs (even if they don't realise it) there's a growing segment of our society that are turning to purposeful side-hustles to fulfil something that's missing from their lives.

Purposeful side hustles, side gigs, part-time volunteering, pro-bono work - call it what you will, it's a growing part of our society and helps keep many charities and not-for-profits running. A purposeful side hustle can be a great way for you to try new things which you care deeply about, or give you a boost of happiness and satisfaction, without leaving the safety of your full-time job.

Purposeful-side hustles can stay part time, turn into full-time jobs, or open up new opportunities that you hadn't ever considered.

Come along to our evening event (co-hosted by Ikabo) where (as well as some speed networking) you'll hear our expert panel discuss how to choose a successful side-hustle, get it up and running and make it a success.

Full Time Lives’ Co-Founder Natalie Yan-Chatonsky will be facilitating the panel discussion with business, social and community leaders:

  • Muneesh Wadhwa, Founder of Humanity in Business. Munesh started Humanity in Business to further his belief that businesses have a greater role to play in society than purely profit. The company now runs events and other initiatives to help leaders create purposeful companies which better engage their employees.

  • Tracey Middleton, Co-Founder of Communiteer.  Tracey has recently made her side hustle her main hustle! Communiteer is a virtual volunteering platform, due to launch soon, that connects skilled volunteers with project-based volunteering opportunities. Making volunteering more accessible, flexible, convenient and impact oriented.

  • Helen Simpson, Head of Innovation at Ikabo. She is passionate about lifelong learning and helping people, parents in particular, understand how the future of work with impact their children and help them prepare in the best possible way. Her side hustle 'Future Fit Families' is aimed at creating an informed and engaged community that will support future generations.
