Southern Hemisphere Open

Multiple organised gaming events, free play area, board games, demo and intro games, hobby skills workshops, painting competitions, vendors and much much more! 3 days of gaming for all types of gamer!

By gamers, for gamers - the Southern Hemisphere Open!

Formal event/tournament tickets include entry, players will NOT be required to purchase expo/convention entry as well as their event/tournament ticket!

*ticket descriptions specify which tickets need an additional expo/convention entry.

Tournament players check your players pack for tournament times.

Convention/expo will be open to the public 9.00am-4.30 Saturday, Sunday and Monday

Last entry 3pm daily.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Here are your transport options if you want to know how to get to Ascot Racecourse:

Train:

The nearest train station is Belmont Station which is still about 5kms to Ascot Racecourse. Visit Transperth to plot your journey to Ascot Racecourse via train.

Bus:

The Circle Route Buses (98 & 99) stop at Ascot Racecourse. Visit Transperth for the latest bus timetables.

Car:

Ascot Racecourse is located on Grandstand Road in Ascot, about 8kms north east of the Perth CBD. It’s only a 20 minute drive along the Great Easter Highway. Parking is available.

 

What can I bring into the event?

Players will be required to bring their armies, and the requiements of the players pack.

Cameras are welcome at the event. Please do not get in the way of play or disrupt play. Please use #obsec, #objectivesecured #southernhemisphereopen #SHO on any photos posted to social media. Any photos you post of armies in the lead up to the event with these # will appear on our social media stream for the event.

CosPlay is welcomed however no real weapons, live blades, weapons that appear real etc will be permitted into the event.

Alcohol can be purchased at the event by persons over 18 years of age, however it can not be brought into the event.

What is your disability access and inclusion?

The venue has travelators between floors however there is also a service lift that is able to be accessed for wheelchair access. Please see the attendants on the front entry to discuss this access.

 

What's the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable but are transferable.

 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

Please bring your ticket to the event, printed tickets are not required, electronic copies of the ticket are acceptable.

 

Can I update my registration information?

Yes! Please do! 

 

Is my ticket transferrable?

Yes. If you are sadly unable to make an event then tickets are transferable. 

 

Is it ok if the name on my ticket or registration doesn't match the person who attends?

It is ok if the name on your ticket does not match the person who attends, however you must update the information for players attending the formal tournaments and events. Objective Secured needs to know the names and contact details (in case of emergencies) for the players for the events.
