Event description

**PRE-SALE ONLY** Location information will be sent out at close of presale. This event is a safe space and has a no-tolerance policy for any discrimination or offensive behaviour.

Hex Yellow flows back into the night’s glorious gut with a patricous mix of living statues. Live techno and electronics will turn an amazing and rarely used space into a church of rave. Young and old are welcome to chase the echoes of joy that live in the shadows.

From sound to light, no effort will be spared in providing a most horrific night. XXX

Manos Simotas aka UNHUMAN [Instruments of Discipline, Liber Null, Strange Therapy]
Manos Simotas is a Berlin based techno and noise producer and experimental artist who founded the boundary-pushing Liber Null events. A powerhouse in his own right, the gothic sensibilities of UNHUMAN are unparalleled by his scope to action dystopic visions across both dancefloors, galleries and bodies. This is not a DJ set to miss.

OPERANT (Live) [Instruments of Discipline, Strange Therapy]
The live duo of IoD label co-runners Australian August and Italian Luna is beautiful and frightening. Their sound is that of schismic engagement, conveying intimacy inside vast and isolating spaces, contrasting dramatic urgency with absurd playfulness, bleak melancholia with degenerate frenzy.

REBEL YELL (Live) [Rice is Nice]
Brisbane’s infamous techno queen expertly layers an aesthetic of sulphuric techno with an anthraxic voice. She is no stranger to both the conventional and the obscure. She holds Australia's underground electronic music scene on a short leash, and with the impending release of her latest LP, you'd be a fool to miss a performance so worthy of melting permafrost.

Katia [Undulate]
Since her explosion onto the Melbourne and Sydney techno scene Katia has played alongside the likes of Ansome, Headless Horseman and Paula Temple, and runs her own incredible initiative Undulate. A connoisseur of heavy-hitting dance music, Katia's presence is not to be underestimated. She will wrap you, the masses and the night in awe.

Jannah Quill (Live)
Jannah Quill is one half of WDK and a real-life-body-moving-decompartmentaliser. Her experiemental approach to electronic dance music, and her obsession with the fatal potential of the ordinary combine to create a sound both raw and familiar. Allow her to enter your mind and repurpose the banal into your fingers, toes and hips as you let go and go and go.

Jemma Cole x Tim Gollan [Soft Centre, insert] [Read-Only Memory]
Two individuals who hold their own right in the Sydney’s electronic music scene, they have been supportive since the advent of Hex Yellow. They will be warming the decks and stealing hearts throughout the night.

Hex Yellow would like to acknowledge the traditional custodians of the land, the Gadigal people of the Eora nation on which we will meet. We pay respects to the Elders of the community and extend our recognition to their descendants.
